Follow along as Jintana makes spanish rice. What you’ll need:
Rice [3 cups]
Chopped Onions [handful]
Chopped Garlic [handful]
Mexican Oregano [2 tablespoons]
Sea Salt [2-3 tablespoons]
Black Pepper [1 teaspoon]
Fresh Lime Juice [1-2 tablespoons]
Bay Leaves [a few]
Wash and rinse the rice. Cover it in water (about 3 or so cups).
In a pot, saute some fresh garlic and onions in oil (Jintana opts for avocado as some say it’s the slightly healthier choice over olive oil). Add the rice and water. Reduce the burner’s flame. Cover. Wait for the water to reduce. Watch for the rice to rise to the surface. Notice how the aromas grow. Taste. And add any more ingredients your taste buds ask for.
